Today was World Vegetarian day...

And we missed it!  Vegetarianism is a great way to save money.  For us omnivores, money spent on meat is a large portion of our grocery budget.  If you've never gone vegetarian for a week, give it a try!  You will save a bunch of money if you do.

Check out Serious Eats for some great vegetarian meal ideas.

  2. Haha, I don't exactly disagree with you, but we have vegetarian meals slip by me all the time without my noticing. Homemade mac & cheese, baked ziti, spaghetti, etc. Mostly pasta things. The other day I had a cheese and lettuce sandwich for lunch because we were out of deli meat, and it wasn't so bad at all!
